Tsunagari continued

Kimono Tsunagari, or Kimono Connections, is a project that celebrates kimono culture in Ottawa’s Japanese Canadian community. It features interviews, photos, and videos about the history, preservation, and contemporary significance of kimono. Please check my past post here for more.

We continue to engage with esteemed kimono enthusiasts for our interviews. Here are additional photos of individuals who are passionate about the new stage, that is, Kimono for the future! Upcycling or re-making kimono is a popular trend among some designers all over the world. In Ottawa, there are individuals who are particularly focused on this area. I am delighted to capture this aspect of the culture and am eager to explore the possibilities as a kimono enthusiast myself.

Thank you for your support on this project. Please find additional details about these contributor at Tenyo Fashion Design and Camellia Teas of Ottawa.
