A Beautiful Farewell to an Incredible Duo

What an absolute pleasure and privilege it was to serve as the official photographer for this unforgettable afternoon. Watching this violin and piano duo perform in perfect harmony one last time was nothing short of magical.

As a photographer and an amateur musician,  concerts are incredibly special to document and especially for the farewell event. Every shared glance, intense moment of focus, and wave of applause carried so much weight.

For me, the highlight of the day was their anchor piece, “Salut d’Amour” by Elgar, which is one of most memorable piece for me. Capturing the emotion on their faces during that specific performance was a dream—the music and the visuals came together in absolute perfection.

Thank you both for trusting me to document your final chapter. Your dedication has clearly touched so many lives, as proven by the thunderous standing ovation that closed the beautiful afternoon.

Exhibition at Landsdowne

I had the honour of serving as the official photographer for the 2026 Annual Exhibition of the Ottawa Guild of Potters. The room was filled with incredible creations from so many talented potters, and I enjoyed viewing the artwork just as much as I loved capturing each piece through my lens.

The Ottawa Guild of Potters’ exhibition showcased a stunning diversity of work, from sleek functional ware to intricate avant-garde sculptures. As a photographer, I am delighted in finding the perfect light to focus each piece’s unique textures, glazes, and curves, creating a seamless collaboration between my lens and the potter’s hands.

Thank you for trusting me with capturing your memorable moments. (Event Date : 2026 May 1)

Capturing Moments and Melodies

Working as a photographer at the Ottawa Clay Festival was already a highlight, but seeing familiar faces made it even better. I had the pleasure of catching my friends performing during the event—it was great to see them out there! A huge thank you to The Lost Keys for the incredible, personalized serenade. It truly made my day ! ( Event date : 2026 May 1 )

Power of Tradition – Wedding with Kimono

Capturing the essence of tradition at the Richmond Estate Winery for my client’s gorgeous wedding reception. Even though the weather threw some challenges our way with strong winds and occasional rain, we managed it beautifully, ensuring everything remained flawless. I was not the official photographer but did some Kitsuke part only in this session. I enjoyed capturing some snapshots of the event with lots of joy.

For this special day, I styled a breathtaking kimono that carries a beautiful history—it was worn by the bride’s new mother-in-law on her own wedding day, and has now been passed down to celebrate the next generation. It’s moments exactly like these that remind me why I love what I do. Tradition has a powerful way of connecting us across time and space. It was an absolute honour to take part in such a deeply meaningful and beautiful celebration.

Springtime Magic: Family Portrait Session

There is something completely magical about spring portrait sessions, and this recent family session was absolutely no exception! We were blessed with the most perfect backdrop nature could offer—vibrant, blooming lilacs filling the air with their sweet scent and fresh, crisp greenery everywhere you looked. As the sun began to lower, it bathed the entire location in that dreamy, golden-hour light that photographers live for. But the real magic? It wasn’t just the scenery; it was the pure joy, laughter, and the sweetest smiles from this incredible family. Every single element came together so effortlessly to create truly stunning, timeless photos that I am so excited to share. ( Event date : 2026 May 30th )

Two Artists One Spirit

I had an amazing time capturing the opening night of Judy Nakagawa’s exhibition, “Complicated Heart,” at Ottawa’s City Hall Art Gallery—featuring a stunning dance performance by Takako Segawa. While I wasn’t the official photographer for the event, I couldn’t help but take so many photos after being deeply inspired by the incredible work of these two amazing creators. Thank you both for your beautiful artistry! ( Event day : 2026 May 28th)

Capturing the Spirit of Kyudo in Ottawa

It has been my absolute honour to serve as the official photographer for the Ottawa Kyudo Association’s recent event! Going into the event, I knew I was there to photograph archery. But what I witnessed was so much more than a sport—it was a moving meditation. I was deeply inspired by the participants’ immense passion, razor-sharp focus, and unwavering dedication to this beautiful Japanese martial art.

In Kyudo, the focus isn’t just hitting a target; it’s about the purity of the process, the harmony of movement, and the refinement of the mind. Looking through the lens, I could feel the intense stillness in the room right before an arrow was released. Capturing that precise moment—where supreme focus meets explosive action—was both a technical challenge and a profound artistic joy.

To the organizers and all the participants of the event: thank you so much for welcoming me into your space and trusting me to capture your art. Your warmth and dedication made this an unforgettable experience. (Event day : 2026 May 16 and 17 )

Graduation photo session – 2026 May

I had a wonderful time reconnecting with these two ambitious graduates last week! Having met them during a previous school session, it was an absolute honor to be invited back to document such a significant milestone in their lives.

We spent the afternoon capturing the joy of their achievements, and I couldn’t be prouder of the hard work they’ve put in. The light at Tabaret of OttawaU was perfect. I really enjoyed hearing the cheers from bystanders and drivers while the session. Despite the challenge of navigating the stairs in long dresses and heels, these two made looking effortless seem easy, even if we had a few giggles along the way !

Congratulations to  both—I hope these photos serve as a lifelong reminder of your success! (Event day : 2026 May 2 )

Happy Easter ! …belated…

Happy Easter! I’m sending you my best wishes, even though it’s a bit late. I spent the long weekend unwinding with my family-in-laws and had some thoughtful moments about Easter. I am very grateful for everything around me and the peacefulness it brings. Here’s hoping that peaceful energy spreads and the world gets a little bit kinder and safer for everyone, especially around this time …
