Natsu Matsuri 2025

One of highlight of my summer was volunteering at Natsu Matsuri, the summer festival operated by the Ottawa Japanese Community Association. I was part of the kimono dressing team, helping with fundraising through cultural engagement. It was an amazing success! Despite the heat and intense sun, visitors were enthusiastic and excited to try on beautiful kimono and learn more about Japanese traditions. Seeing everyone’s smiles and hearing their kind words made the long day incredibly fulfilling.

These experiences reminded me how meaningful it is to stay connected — to the society, to culture, and to one another. I’m so grateful for these moments and for everyone who made them special.

Simple Miracles 2025 Summer

I had an amazing time visiting Jambican Studio Gardens for a photo shoot, capturing the vibrant beauty of fresh vegetables. Though the strong sun and heat left me exhausted, the farmers carried on with tireless energy. Their resilience and dedication truly impressed me.

This year, the weather has not been favourable, so the produce has been a bit slower to grow — but I’m looking forward to enjoying amazing vegetables from now through November.

Kyudo 弓道 June 21 and 22

I’m excited to share some recent photos of the successful Kyudo ( Japanese archery ) seminar.

The inaugural Ottawa Kyudo Seminar offers dedicated instruction from a senior Canadian Kyudo member with over 16 years of experience.

There was a great mix of experts and members, and it was filled with insightful discussions and meaningful connections. It was a truly enriching experience, and I’m so proud of being part of the amazing events.

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity!

Exciting new chapter

I am thrilled to congratulate my client on the grand opening of his law firm and to have my opportunity to capture his professional portraiture ! With the awesome support of his friends, the portraits turned out to be a special showcase of his professionalism and fun-loving side.

Wishing his success and make a profound impact through his advocacy for years to come. I am confident that his new firm is founded on  dedication, integrity, and commitment to justice. Congrats again on the exciting new chapter !!

Iaido seminar in June 篤志会

Last summer, I had the privilege of capturing my first honourable moment by photographing the Iaido competition. This time, I was invited to document their seminar, where members engaged in learning new techniques and explore into the philosophy, values, and mission of the dojo. For more information about Tokushikai Canada please check here.

Iaido is a traditional Japanese martial art that utilizes swords as a means of training the body and mind in the attainment of stillness and balance. The refined movements, calmness, and respect embodied in Iaido evoke a profound sense of Japanese beauty, which is deeply ingrained in my cultural heritage.

I am thankful for this awesome experience ! Looking forward to the next event in June and July !

Graduation !

I was honoured to capture the special occasion, the graduation day ! My session was held after the ceremony, as everyone gathered outside the auditorium to socialize with friends and family. I am delighted to have been a part of the joyous atmosphere and witnessed the radient smiles on everyone’s faces. Congratulations on your wonderful accomplishments and the exciting journey that awaits you in the future!

Wedding in May

I had the exceptional privilege of capturing the beautiful wedding portraits of this lovely couple in the traditional Japanese style. I am extremely delighted that they chose  the gorgeous wedding kimono options for their special day. In my studio, the pure white “Shiromuku,” the vibrant “Iro Uchikake,” and the elegant “Haori Hakama” have been patiently awaiting the ideal moment to be worn. I am overjoyed !

It has been an absolute honour for me to be a part of their beautiful journey. I genuinely enjoyed every moment of this memorable day. I hope the images become cherished memories in their new life together.
